Prime Minister praises 3D technologies innovative work
Four days before the start of critical global climate change negotiations in Copenhagen, forward thinking companies from the North West have been invited to Downing Street to showcase how the UK’s low carbon innovation and partnership are already shaping business for the future economy.
Among 100 companies gathering in Downing Street on Thursday evening who have embraced the low carbon economy will be leading-edge methane storage manufacturers, Kirk Environmental from Nelson, Lancashire, and creators of graphics visualisations, 3D Web Technologies from Altrincham, Cheshire.
Prime Minister Gordon Brown said:
‘Our transition to a low carbon economy will be a key driver of our future economic prosperity. Kirk Environmental and 3D Web Technologies are at the forefront of this transformation...'

Major Wind Farm Success........
3dw have been instrumental in helping Coronation Power secure the go ahead from the Governments Planning Inspectorate to build two wind farms in the North West. Crook Hill two miles north of Rochdale in Greater Manchester, and Reaps Moss, near Bacup in Lancashire. The wind farms will provide clean energy for over 22,500 homes.
3dw have been working closely with Coronation for over three years, producing detailed 3d models of all their sites, the models were used successfully at public exhibitions and planning meetings to help all stakeholders understand the possible visual impact of the wind farms.
